At 9:30am on June 28th, our company held a formal naming ceremony for the world-most- advanced 4300 Unit PCTC built for GCC from Norway at our NO.5 dock. It was a big ceremony after the 115000dwt bulk carrier which is the biggest vessel in Tongzhou district carrying out launching successfully. The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Wang Kehua, Deputy District Head of People’s Government of Tongzhou District. Mr. Ji Fenghua, Borad Chairman of Mingde Group, Mr. Peter Gram, CEO of GCC, Mr. Song Min, Vice President of Shandong Foreign Trade Co., Ltd, and Mr. Chen Yonghong, Vice Secretary of the People’s Congress of Tongzhou District all gave the speeches. They all congratulated the naming of the first 4300 Unit PCTC and gave thanks to friends from all circles, GCC supervisors and staff of the shipyard. Guests from the Owner GCC, the foreign trade company, DNV, the bank and staff in our company attended the ceremony.
The Godmother Ms. Anette Blystad named the vessel “VILING AMBER”. After the naming, 16 cars took all the distinguished guests to visit the vessel.
The particular of this vessel is as follows: Length:164.8m, Width:28m, Height to upper deck: 30.09m, Draft:8.4m, Speed of sea trial:18 knots. Main Engine: MAN 7S50ME-C MK7. This vessel have 12 decks and will accommodate 4300 units and our company is the first private enterprise which builds the PCTC by ourself in China.
